Buying a Home is Exciting! It can also be confusing and complicated. That's why it's important to understand what to expect and how to prepare to be a qualified homeowner BEFORE you begin to make that decision which will lead to the American Dream of owning your own home.

The Home Loan Counseling Center of Sacramento (SHLCC) is a private nonprofit housing education and counseling organization which teaches you about the steps to and the benefits of homeownership. We're here to help you prepare for this important journey.

The Center's mission is to promote and encourage homeownership! We offer a series of courses which are designed to answer your questions about owning a home. Seminars are conducted by seasoned, practicing lenders and real estate professionals who volunteer their time and have completed a certified training course.
